There is much debate about the growing Saudi dining out market, so we recently commissioned YouGov to tackle some hot topics interviewing 1000 Saudi nationals.

What did we find?

Over half of the 1000 people interviewed said they were likely to invest in a cafe or restaurant in the Kingdom which is at a much higher rate than any other country. This shows that the entrepreneurial spirit in the Kingdom is thriving. One in five would also consider a career within the sector.

Our research with YouGov also told us that over 60% believe media reports on healthy eating influence the way they eat, with many eating less burgers and less meat.

We undertook this research to support our work in developing restaurant businesses in the Kingdom and to get a better understanding of Saudi eating out behaviour, and it was featured across many sector outlets including Caterer Middle East and Hospitality News Magazine.
