THE BLUE BOAR PUB
The Conrad London St. James in Westminster, London, had four high-end F&B spaces with a shared identity. Hilton asked us to create a unique brand identity and communications suite for each space, to compliment the interior design work and represent exciting F&B destinations in London in their own right, not only attracting hotel guests.
The first of the four venues to open is The Blue Boar Pub. With a new menu developed by leading chef Sally Abé, the new branding needed to be befitting of the authentic London pub dishes delivered at their absolute best.
Blue Boar is a modern take on a classic London Pub. Alongside an interiors overhaul and menu, the brand design marks the start of a new era for the Blue Boar Pub.
The Blue Boar has always been more than a pub. In 1909 the Brewers’ Society took up residence in its chambers. Some 300 years before that ‘The Blue Boars Head’ played host to Oliver Cromwell and others as a well-established inn where it first became associated with politics, something it still does today.
Now, in the 21st century, we honour its history whilst reflecting the modern take it has today. The new brand identity had to get this balance right – classic British warmth and character, brought to you in a striking new way.
As part of the project we delivered a new brand narrative, brand identity and operational collateral such as menus, digital and print communications and social media guidelines. We also designed the pubs externals, giving it a new lease of life that both reflected the new brand identity as well as giving it the stand out such a great pub deserves.
